Green initiatives during the week of urban mobility.

During the Week of Urban Mobility, Municipality tried to gain symbolic green space at the expense of asphalt and concrete in the urban environment. On "Al. Bogoridy" str. appears grass path and near pedestrian path next to the "Mushroom", plants won and took an old van. Initiatives Green Car and Green Street are part of the project "Our streets, our choice" - an event during Week of urban mobility under the project "Integrated Urban Transport of Burgas". Within this event in Burgas was built also the first Green bus stop which is so comfortable that bad thoughts go away and it turns waiting in pleasure. It is located in the periphery of the Sea Garden, near the Pantheon and bus № 4 stops on it.

The project has a total value of 130 894 784.10 lev and is funded by the Operational Program "Regional Development" 2007 – 2013, financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund and the state budget of the Republic of Bulgaria.

 Successful implementation of the project will create conditions for improved mobility for people, reduce traffic and gas emissions, will improve safety of public transport. During next years actions of the Municipality to protect the environment will continue.
