Mr. Stoytchev added that "to the newly designed central bus station is provided accessible environment for people with disabilities through heated concrete ramps - from east and west. From the north access is at the same level with the sidewalk with automatically openable door. Heated ramps and platforms in two areas of the station ensure safe movement of passengers getting on and off at the same level as buses and even when there are ice on the ground.

Project "Integrated Urban Transport of Burgas" with total cost of 130 894 784.10 lev and is funded by the Operational Program "Regional Development" 2007 – 2013, financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund and the state budget of the Republic Bulgaria. The project includes several key components related to the modernization of public transport: the bus fleet renewal, reconstruction and renovation of the station and terminals, BRT line, establishing a system of bicycle paths, introduction of integrated management systems of public transport .

Successful implementation of the project will create conditions for improved mobility for people, reduce traffic congestion and greenhouse gas emissions, improve the safety of public transport.
