The bus depot reconstruction

A major component of the project "Integrated Urban Transport of Burgas" is the reconstruction of the bus depot of public transport operator "Burgasbus" EOOD.

The aim of this component of the project is to establish appropriate service facilities for repair and maintenance that meet European standards for machinery and safety. They will allow effective maintenance of the fleet of public transport, which will consist of new and modern buses with two separate fuel systems - diesel and methane buses.

The Technical Investment Projects that were made to provide reconstruction and modernization of the workshops, the car wash and parking area of the depot; renovation of the administrative building and the project for building a new diesel and methane gas station to serve the newly delivered according to the project buses.

The reconstruction activities of the workshop and the Technical Inspection Station in the depot, as well as reconstruction of the halls, are in the final stage. Existing parking service for the 67 new buses are delivered under the project and the platform roads and fence were refurbished.

The new diesel and methane station, which will serve the buses that were built in the depot area.

These activities will provide better service of the bus fleet that are a prerequisite for the sustainability of the proposed quality of public transport service.
